PREPARATION
PREPARE THE TORTELLINI
1.
Prepare the tortellini according to the directions on the package.

PREPARE THE SAUCE

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
4.
Whisk flour into butter until smooth. Pour milk into butter mixture and stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
5.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 3 minutes. Add Cheddar cheese and stir until cheese is melted, about 3 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper.
6.
Add the basil and stir well.
7.
Pour the cheese sauce into the tortellini and mix well. Serve immediately.
