PREPARATION
1.
Lay cocktail rye bread out on a flat surface.
2.
Cut herring into smaller pieces - about half the size of the bread pieces. Top each piece of cocktail rye bread with a piece of herring.
3.
Slice the red onion into half moons and top the herring with a few pieces of onion.
4.
Slice the dill pickles in a slant and top each piece of bread, arranging however fits best.
5.
Dice the scallions, green parts only. Sprinkle over ingredients.
6.
Finish off with a piece of fresh dill and place on a serving dish.
