PREPARATION
1.
In a small sauce pan, over medium heat, whisk together the sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and water.
2.
Bring to a gently simmer and then whisk in the corn starch mixed with 1 tbsp water.
3.
The sauce will thicken slightly. Taste and season with salt and pepper, if needed.
